Greetings from a calm day in Bundoran. Hope your weekend was a good one! Just letting you know what’s happening at DAC in the next few weeks:
This coming weekend we have a beginner surf weekend: suitable for absolute beginners, newbies to the water – starts Friday evening with meet & greet & a few beers in the local, 2 surfs on Saturday, some après-surf fun on Saturday night, and a final third surf on Sunday morning before departure. Our special rate for this weekend is 120 euro per person for 2 nights + 3 surf lessons. For non-surfers, 2 nights accommodation is 50 euro.
Entertainment this weekend: Ronan O’ Snodaigh of KILA & Donal Dineen are in town Friday night, and on Saturday night Jinx Lennon plays Paris, Bundoran.
The weekend of November 28 – 29 is a Surf Rock weekend here at DAC : We have a surf weekend available for beginners, and also we have an intermediate level surf weekend: The rock part of the weekend features superb Cork band FRED on Friday night at The Chasin’ Bull, with support by ONYA, followed by brilliant Sligo originals ‘THE DEAD FLAGS on Saturday night. Admission to these gigs is FREE for our weekenders: Surf weekend 2 nights accomm + 3 surfs 120 euro pp, or 50 euro accommodation only.
Give us a call to book: 07198 42418, or you can email me back here.
We are also now offering vouchers for surf lessons, surf breaks and surf camps as very cool Christmas prezzies.
We are open through December, closing (briefly ) from December 20 – 26th inclusive. We reopen December 27th for surf lessons, accommodation & rentals. Dublin supergroup RED KID play Bundoran on Dec 27th – that will be a great gig, and again, admission is FREE to any DAC clients. On December 28th, local surf-rock band INUENDO play The Chasin’ Bull – possibly my favourite band of all 🙂 So if you will have had enough of the family by then, there is plenty of fun going on up here.
Hope all is well with you: remember, if you don’t wish to continue to receive updates from me, just send a ‘remove’ and I will. Re staff gossip, – Kyle cut his hair! It’s a big deal when a surf-king decides the time has come to ‘go short’, so promise to be gentle with him.
